A Crash Course in Conservation

The Dirty Weekenders will be hosting an event for the University’s Innovative Learning week on Wednesday February 19th. This is ideal for anyone new to conservation work, who wants to have fun outdoors.

We will be travelling to local nature reserve ‘Beeslack Wood‘ to assist the Woodland Trust ranger in the upkeep of the site.

If you’d like to join us, then you can sign up here. All students and staff are welcome. We’ll meet at 10am at the CSE – don’t forget to bring drinking water, good footwear, and waterproofs.

Please, If you sign up and cannot go, send us an e-mail so that someone else can take the place.

Ceilidh this month!

We have some updates regarding the ceilidh this month.

From our Social Coordinators:

It is time to get your boogie on and join us some Dirty Dancing. Located in the fabulous Teviot Debating Hall we will be having a ceilidh accompanied by the wonderful Folk Soc Ceilidh band! As well as all that fun there will inevitably be some games (see future updates).
The price is only £3!

Unfortunately we are not allowed to BYOB to this venue, but there are multiple bars located throughout Teviot to quench your thirst.

We expect to see all your best moves so happy practicing!

The Ceilidh takes place on Tuesday the 28th, and kicks off from 7:30pm (in Teviot Debating Hall). Bring friends and family, as all are welcome.
