Roslin Glen 18th September 2015

First project back introduced out new comers to the bread and butter of Dirties: Path work and FIRE.

While many went to go tackle the task that was shoveling and spreading gravel others were told to get wet woos burning. The glory of the one match fire starters huffed and puffed at the wee twigs and chippings of dry dead wood while the gravel party were so efficient that Alan moves them on to break backs clearing leaves from the horse steps.Other events?

Biscuits were nearly forgotten; lunch was had; names were learnt; jokes were told; songs were sung; FUN WAS HAD!

Bring on the Projects for 2015!

Cheers Rosie!

Feeling outdoorsy this weekend? – We’re heading to Roslin Glen

Dearest Dirties,

Welcome to semester two here’s news about our first project and a bothy update.

From the projects

A very happy new year to you all!

This semester’s series of unrivaled conservation events begins this Sunday, January 18th: We’re going to Roslin Glen where we’ll be doing some path maintenance and clearing near the Gunpowder Mills.

Meet at 10am in the Pleasance Courtyard, equipped with water, waterproofs and appropriate footwear. We’ll provide transport, tools and a tasty vegetarian lunch. If this is your first project, fear not, we’ll keep an eye out for everyone.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday!

Your project people,

Emma and John
