A formerly neglected corner, merely used as a turning circle for cars finding themselves at a dead end, has been converted into a quaint garden and an addition to the green links along the Water of Leith which are essential for the urban wildlife we know and love in Edinburgh. When we arrived at the site, a lot of work had already been carried out, raised beds had been constructed out of sleepers and the ground had begun to recover from being churned up. We planted scrubby ground with wildflowers to further enrich this community space which is now complete and our work will no longer be needed, what a success. Not such a dead end after all.
